The Favora Search Engine

Last Revised: July 8, 2026 · Version 2026.07

This page explains, from a brand perspective, what Favora is, how the Favora Search Engine indexes and displays products, how we treat brand imagery and intellectual property, and how brands can request to be removed from our index. It is intended as a plain-language reference for rights holders and their representatives. It sits alongside, and does not replace, our Privacy Policy and Terms.

What Favora Is

Favora, Inc. ("Favora", "us", "we") operates a modern search engine that is hyper-specialised on fashion (the "Favora Search Engine"). It is designed to help users discover, compare and navigate to fashion products across the open web.

At the level of what the technology does, the Favora Search Engine performs the same fundamental work as a general purpose search engine such as Google or a conversational AI assistant such as ChatGPT. We crawl and index publicly available information at web scale, match a user's intent against that index, and refer the user to the source. That intent may be expressed as an explicit query, whether typed, spoken, image based or in natural language, or inferred from a user's ongoing interactions with the Favora app itself. Our differentiator is the presentation and discovery layer. Fashion is a visual category, and where a general search engine returns text results and a conversational AI returns natural language answers, the Favora Search Engine returns products in a visual, browsable form designed for discovery rather than lookup, while still linking out to the brand or retailer for the transaction.

Favora is not a marketplace and not a reseller. We do not sell products directly, we do not process payments, and we do not fulfil orders. When a user chooses to buy a product, they leave the Favora Search Engine and complete their purchase on the brand's own website or the website of an authorised retailer.

Some brands additionally engage with Favora as brand partners under a separate commercial relationship, as described in our Privacy Policy. That relationship is optional. It is not required for a brand's products to be findable in the Favora Search Engine, and it does not change the removal rights described below.

Our role is that of an index and a discovery layer. We help fashion products become findable to the people looking for them, and we send those people to the source.

How the Favora Search Engine Works

Like a general purpose search engine, Favora crawls and indexes publicly available information about fashion products from brand websites and other public sources on the internet. From that public information we build a structured index of product metadata, including such things as brand name, product name, description, price, sizes, colours, categories and links back to the original product page.

When a user issues a query, whether typed, spoken, image based or expressed in natural language to our AI, the Favora Search Engine returns matching products from that index together with links out to the brand or retailer that offers them. All transactions, checkout, shipping, returns and customer service remain the responsibility of the brand or retailer that the user is directed to.

We index from publicly reachable pages, and honour publicly expressed indexing preferences where technically feasible. Brands that wish to be excluded entirely can use the removal process described below, which is authoritative and applies regardless of any other signal.

Product Images and Intellectual Property

Favora does not maintain a persistent library of product images. When a product is shown in a Favora search result, the accompanying image is referenced from the URL where the rights holder already publishes it, and is served from the rights holder's own servers or content delivery network, save for transient technical caching or thumbnail generation reasonably necessary to deliver search results. The rights holder remains in control of the underlying file, its availability and its lifecycle.

In practical terms this means that if a brand removes, replaces or moves a product image at its source, the change is reflected in Favora search results as soon as the reference resolves against the new state. It also means that Favora does not maintain a persistent library of brand imagery for its own storage or redistribution, and does not claim any right, title or interest in that imagery.

Trademarks, logos, product names and copyrighted material remain the property of their respective owners. Their appearance in the Favora Search Engine is for the purpose of indexing and referring users to the rights holder, and does not imply endorsement, partnership or sponsorship by the rights holder unless separately agreed in writing.

Requesting Removal From the Favora Search Engine

A brand or an authorised representative of a brand may request that the brand and its products be removed from the Favora Search Engine. Removal takes the brand's products out of user facing search results and blocks them from appearing in future results while the request remains in effect.

To submit a removal request, send an email to legal@favora.ai from a domain associated with the brand, and include the following:

  • Brand. The legal name of the brand and, if applicable, the parent company.
  • Requestor. Your name, role at the brand, and business contact details.
  • Scope. Whether the request covers the entire brand catalogue or is limited to specific products, collections or domains.
  • Basis. A short statement of the basis for the request. A legal basis is not required; brand preference is a sufficient reason.

We aim to acknowledge removal requests within five business days and to implement confirmed removals within a further ten business days. Once a removal is in effect, the brand and its products will not be shown in Favora search results, and, on a best effort basis, we will remove the brand's domains from further crawler scope.

If a brand later wishes to be reinstated in the index, the same address can be used to withdraw a prior removal request.

Notice for Specific Content

If a brand does not wish to be removed from the Favora Search Engine in full but has a concern about a specific product listing, an outdated price, an incorrect attribution or a particular image reference, that concern can be reported to the same address at legal@favora.ai. We will review targeted notices and correct or remove the specific content where the request is verified.
